The Delaware High School Mock Trial Competition is an annual, two day competition, hosting approximately 400 of Delaware's brightest high school students, and held at the Leonard L. Williams Justice Center. The students act out a court case and debate at the highest level in a live courtroom setting. We usually ask volunteers to run the scores to the judge's room or to act as bailiffs. However, we're doing things a bit different this year!
WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP!
This year the competition is VIRTUAL and you can help remotely! From the comfort of your home or workplace, we need volunteers to co-host the event by recording/viewing the proceedings and communicate any issues to the event leads. Once the trial is over, the recording is dropped into a virtual drop box. Mandatory ZOOM training will be provided by TrialGraphix. Volunteering is an easy way to earn DPA CLE credits (3 hours = 1 credit).
Volunteers may sign up for individual or all four (4) sessions:
Friday, February 19, 2021:
Morning: 8:00 am to 12:00 noon
Afternoon: 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Saturday, February 20, 2021:
Morning: 8:00 am to 12:00 noon
Afternoon: 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to Claudine Smith, Pro Bono Director at csmith@artbrewventures.com.
