Road and lane closures due to construction around the Leonard L. Williams Justice Center in Wilmington

Starting in the Fall of 2024, those who regularly use N. King Street in the city of Wilmington or have business at the Leonard L. Williams Justice Center at 500 N. King Street, should be prepared to encounter traffic disruptions and traffic pattern changes. This includes one lane of N. King Street directly in front of the Custom House and on Alico Road, the road leading to the courthouse parking garage. The lane closures and changes are necessary due to the ongoing renovation and expansion of the historic Custom House property at 516 N. King Street.

The Leonard L. Williams Justice Center closed today at 3PM. The closure was due to an earlier power outage that caused an issue with cooling the building. Court operations at the Justice Center are expected to resume as normal, tomorrow, May 1, 2024.
