Speaker Bio: The Honorable Jennifer Sammons has dedicated 29 years to public service with the State of Delaware, with a wealth of experience spanning multiple facets of the legal and judicial systems:

  • 5 years as a Family Crisis Therapist at the Division of Family Services (DSCYF)
  • 15 years as a Psycho-Forensic Evaluator for the Office of Defense Services, working across Superior Court, Court of Common Pleas, and Family Court
  • 9 years as a Judicial Officer at the Justice of the Peace Court, currently serving her second term
  • Sussex County Judicial Representative for the Criminal Forms & Processes, Truancy, and Peer Evaluation Committees
  • Lead for the Policy Directive Overhaul for the Court
  • Member of the multi-agency/multi-court Truancy Workgroup
  • Basic Legal Education (BLE) Instructor for Initial Hearings, Capias Returns, and Truancy courses
  • Active in criminal court, civil court, and truancy court
